Phoenix Associates, Inc. of Parkersburg, WV, is a locally-owned merit shop general contracting firm specializing in various types of commercial, industrial and institutional construction work since its founding in 1985. We perform approximately $8-10 million of construction work annually, primarily in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Phoenix can work either from plans and specifications you provide, or we can provide design & build services wherein we develop the design and perform the on-site construction work. We partner with several architectural firms, which allows us to select one that is not only best suited for your project, but who is capable of meeting the required schedule. Such design & build partnerships take advantage of the architect’s building code expertise and creative input as well as Phoenix Associates’ value engineering input to assure that the project stays within budget. Under this approach, once an acceptable design and budget are established, Phoenix acts as the general contractor during the construction phase of the project.
Phoenix generally performs all onsite general trades construction with our own employees, including regular demolition, concrete, masonry, steel erection, carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, ceiling, doors, windows and accessory work. Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, glass, sprinkler, flat roofing, flooring and special demolition work are subcontracted to reputable specialty contractors when such work is specified in our contract. This allows us to control both the quality of the work and the construction schedule.
We have a wealth of experience in building medical and office facilities. Our satisfied clients also range from neighborhood churches to Wal-Mart stores. The breadth of projects, building types and architectural styles with which we have worked positions us well for any type of construction project.
